In 2015, The United Nations created The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that target social, economical and environmental development. Goal 14 is to “conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.” Along with ways to achieve this goal, the UN explains some of the main reasons behind why the sustainability of our oceans is under severe threat. As the global climate changes so rapidly, it’s becoming difficult to keep track of the various factors impacting the ocean ecosystem. For this project, I created an infographic poster that identifies some of the main reasons that our oceans are becoming less sustainable. Each level within the infographic illustrates a factor impacting ocean sustainability. The graphic was made using Blender and additional text was added in InDesign.
